Audioriver Festival

Launched in 2006 in Płock as a continuation of local events such as Astigmatic and the Festival of Electronic Music and Visualizations, Audioriver quickly grew into one of Poland’s flagship electronic music festivals. For almost two decades, its defining image was the Vistula River beach and the city’s escarpment, where tens of thousands of fans gathered each year at the end of July to see leading names from the global club scene. In 2023 the organizers announced that the festival would move to Łódź, and since 2024 the event has been held on the Błonia grounds while preserving its electronic identity. Audioriver’s format blends a classic open‑air festival with the dynamics of a city‑based event: historically, the core of the programme consisted of night‑time sets on the river beach, complemented by park stages, concerts in the city centre and daytime zones with talks, meetings and activities focused on club culture. After relocating to Łódź, the Błonia area became the main festival site, turning into a full‑scale “festival town” with multiple stages, extensive food & beverage zones and activations by partners. The musical backbone of Audioriver is broad electronic music in all its diversity – from house and techno through drum & bass, bass music and electro to more experimental electronic formats and live projects. Line‑ups regularly feature both global headliners and rising stars of the club scene, alongside a strong representation of Polish DJs and producers. The curation emphasises stylistic variety and a conscious approach to programming, spanning everything from main stages to more niche spaces. What sets Audioriver apart is its position as one of the largest festivals in Poland dedicated specifically to electronic music, its consistent genre‑driven identity and the scale of its stage infrastructure and additional zones. In its communication, the festival highlights a loyal community of returning attendees and positions itself as a “favourite electronic music community” for club culture fans. Over the years, Audioriver has evolved significantly – expanding its size and number of stages, adding daytime and city‑based formats and ultimately taking the major step of relocating from Płock to Łódź. The 2026 edition, marking the festival’s 20th anniversary, is announced as a special year that will balance cutting‑edge electronic music with a celebration of the brand’s long‑standing history.
