DJ Hazel, whose real name was Michał Orzechowski, was one of the most recognizable figures in the Polish club and electronic-music scene. He was born on 1 July 1980 in Warsaw and was connected to music from an early age, not only as a DJ but also through formal musical education. He completed first-level music school, where he studied piano and clarinet, which set him apart from many DJs whose careers were built only through club practice.
