Halina Kunicka

Halina Irena Kunicka is one of the key figures of Polish light entertainment and popular song, whose work became emblematic of the 1960s and 1970s and still resonates with Polish audiences today. She was born in Lwów in 1938 to a family with strong eastern borderland roots and spent her childhood in wartime and post‑war Grójec and Warsaw, cities that later defined her professional life.
