Hania Rani

Hania Rani, born Hanna Raniszewska, is now one of the most internationally recognizable Polish artists. Born in 1990 in Gdańsk, she studied music in Gdańsk, Warsaw, and Berlin, and from the beginning combined classical training with openness to improvisation, electronics, and cross-genre forms. An early important stage of her career involved projects with Dobrawa Czocher. In that collaboration, she began shaping a language based on intimacy, atmosphere, and deliberate use of silence before stepping out more clearly with an authorial profile of her own.
