Misia Furtak, born Michalina Aleksandra Furtak, has spent years building a position as one of the most distinctive figures in Polish alternative music, combining songwriting, vocals, bass playing, and authorship with activism and educational work. She was born in Zielona Góra, and her name first gained broad recognition through Très.B, the band with which she entered the touring and recording circuit in the mid-2000s. Together with Très.B, she won the 2012 Polityka Passport, a distinction that firmly placed her among the leading figures of Polish alternative music at the time.
Her career has a clearly multi-phase structure, because after the Très.B period she moved into solo work first as Misia Ff and later under the name Misia Furtak, while maintaining strong artistic continuity.
In 2015 she co-created the duo Ffrancis with Piotr Kaliński, also known as Hatti Vatti, which opened a more electronic and producer-oriented chapter in her work.
Her 2019 album Co przyjdzie?, created in collaboration with Hania Rani, was highlighted in end-of-year best-of lists according to concert materials and artist descriptions.
