Miszel
Miszel, born Michał Łusiak, is a rapper from Katowice, raised in the Ligota district, and most strongly associated with Polish drill, trap and a modern rap sound shaped by clear UK influence. What sets him apart is that this influence did not come only from online inspiration, but also from his time in Leicester, where he experienced British rap culture firsthand. His earliest confirmed recorded debut was the 2019 single “Bloki.” In the months that followed he released more tracks, but the real breakthrough came with his debut album “W stronę światła”, issued on 26 March 2021. - Miszel is often described as one of the early drill pioneers in Poland, but his take on the sound is rooted in direct exposure to UK rap during his time in Leicester rather than simple imitation.
- He is credited as the first Polish artist featured by the British channel MixtapeMadness, thanks to the English-language track “God save the queen.”
