Miuosh, born Miłosz Paweł Borycki, is a rapper, music producer, composer, and lyricist from Katowice, widely regarded as one of the key modern artists to emerge from Silesia. Although he came out of hip-hop, his career moved beyond the genre quite early, and over time he became one of the most recognizable Polish artists combining rap with larger concert and compositional forms. His beginnings are tied to the Katowice group Projektor, where he was active from the early 2000s. Miuosh is one of the relatively few Polish rappers who consistently pushed his work beyond standard hip-hop form, building large scale projects with orchestras and institutional ensembles rather than limiting himself to occasional crossover tracks.
The “Pieśni współczesne” project with the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble was conceived as a full scale meeting of tradition and modernity, involving more than 140 musicians and performers, with Miuosh writing all lyrics and co-creating the music.
He also collaborated with NOSPR, a move widely treated as one of the major turning points in his career and a clear sign that his ambitions extended far beyond conventional rap frameworks.
Albums such as “Prosto przed siebie” and “Piąta strona świata” reached platinum and multi-platinum levels, showing that artistic expansion in his case also translated into broad audience reach.
