Artist Trivia
- The band’s name, Pustki, is not a metaphor but comes directly from the small storage room nicknamed “pustki” where the first rehearsals took place.
- The debut album “Studio Pustki,” recorded in conditions far from mainstream standards, received very positive reviews and quickly established the band as one of the most interesting early‑2000s Polish guitar debuts.
- Polish Radio Three and “Pulp” magazine named Pustki “Band of the Year 2008,” effectively placing them among the key alternative acts in the country.
- Spotify now lists the full catalogue with a 2019 remaster of “Studio Pustki,” indicating that the debut is still treated as a significant reference point rather than just a historical curiosity.
