Ryszard Rynkowski
Ryszard Rynkowski was born in 1951 in Elbląg and developed musical interests from childhood. He learned piano, played in amateur groups, and as a high-school student already ran his own cabaret. His official musical debut came in 1972 with the group El at a student culture festival in Olsztyn. A year later he moved to Warsaw and began working with the Warsaw Operetta and the Targówek Theatre. In the late 1970s he became associated with Victoria Singers, which turned into the band Vox in 1978. It was there that he became widely known as a vocalist, pianist, and songwriter of many songs, including “Bananowy song” and “Szczęśliwej drogi już czas.” In 1987 he started his solo career, which quickly brought him...

- As a child, he learned piano first from a local church organist and later in primary music school.
- In high school in Elbląg, he led the cabaret “Tak To Bywa”, which won second place in a northern Poland school ensemble review in 1968.
- In 1977–1978 he was the pianist of the blues group Gramine.
- In Vox, he co-created such hits as “Masz w oczach dwa nieba”, “Bananowy song”, and “Szczęśliwej drogi już czas.”
