Tom Swoon, the stage name of Dorian Tomasiak, was one of the most visible Polish EDM producers of the first half of the 2010s. He was primarily associated with progressive house and electro house, and his rise was unusually fast for a Polish artist operating in the global electronic-music circuit. Before adopting the Tom Swoon name, he first worked as DJ DoreQ and then as Pixel Cheese, meaning his best-known alias was already his third major artistic identity.
His first official remix, Gareth Emery’s “Tokyo,” landed on Garuda and helped move him into the international EDM circuit.
His debut single “Elva,” released in 2012 through Ultra Records, was reportedly supported by Tiësto, which accelerated his rise considerably.
In a relatively short period, he became one of the few Polish EDM producers to break into the global festival and label ecosystem.
