Sośnicka is a trained pianist, having completed secondary music school in Kalisz in the piano class and later graduating from the Music Education Department in Poznań.

In 1988 she received the Grand Prix at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole for her entire body of work, officially confirming her status as one of the era’s leading vocalists.
