Stan Borys

Stan Borys was born in 1941 in Załęże as Stanisław Guzek. Before fully entering the music world, he tried many jobs and at the same time developed interests in poetry, recitation, and theatre. He began his professional artistic career in 1958 at the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów. In the mid-1960s he started publishing his own poems, and at the same time became interested in singing, co-founding the band Blackout with Tadeusz Nalepa. At the end of 1966 he left Blackout and moved to Bizony, with whom he achieved his first major festival successes.
