Beata Kozidrak
Beata Kozidrak, born Beata Elżbieta Pietras, née Kozidrak, on 4 May 1960 in Lublin, is one of the most important figures in the history of Polish popular music. She is a singer, songwriter and composer whose name has remained inseparably linked both to the band Bajm and to a successful solo career. She began her musical path in Lublin, where she co-founded Bajm in 1978. The group started with ballad-based and acoustic songwriting, then gradually developed a recognizable style combining pop, pop-rock and highly emotional, personal lyrics, most of them written by Kozidrak herself.
