Artist Trivia
- Classic are described as pioneers of disco dance, a branch of disco polo that emerged directly from Poland’s early 1990s “chodnikowa” cassette culture.
- The original line-up featured Robert Klatt, Jacek Ambroziak and Waldemar Kiełbasiński, but a crucial change came as early as 1993, when Mariusz Winnicki replaced Kiełbasiński and became one of the group’s two long-term public faces.
- Their debut album “Jolka, Jolka” first appeared in 1994 and then returned two years later as an expanded CD edition with bonus tracks, including the major hit “Tam za rzeką.”
- Official band material stresses that even after more than two decades, Classic still function as an active touring act rather than only a legacy name from the 1990s.
