Jennie Kim, known mononymously as Jennie or JENNIE and often stylised as Jennie Ruby Jane, is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter and actress, a member of BLACKPINK and a solo artist under her own creative label Odd Atelier. Born on 16 January 1996 in the Seoul area (sources variously state Cheongdam dong in Gangnam District or Bundang in Seongnam), she spent part of her childhood in South Korea before moving to Auckland, New Zealand, where she attended school and lived with a host family before returning to Korea as a teenager.
