Liroy
Liroy, born Piotr Krzysztof Liroy-Marzec on 12 July 1971 in Busko-Zdrój, is a Polish rapper, music producer, entrepreneur and politician, regarded as one of the pioneers of Polish hip hop. His career began in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when he performed as a DJ in clubs and discos, before moving to France, where he formed the group Leeroy & The Western Posse, with whom he also performed in Germany. After returning to Poland, he recorded his first tracks as PM Cool Lee, and in 1993 released the album “East On Da Mic”, which did not achieve significant commercial success. The breakthrough in his career came in 1995, when under the pseudonym Liroy he released the single “Scyzoryk”, followed by the album...

- Liroy used multiple stage names, including L, Grand Papa Rapa, Szakal, Scyzoryk, PM Cool Lee, Kingpin and 041, reflecting his multi-faceted artistic activity.
- His first demo was released as early as 1982, when he was 11 years old, making him one of the earliest recording Polish rappers.
- The 1995 album “Alboom” sold over 500,000 copies, which remains the biggest commercial success in the history of Polish hip hop.
- The tracks “Scyzoryk” and “Scoobidoo-Ya” were used in Paweł Łoziński’s 1996 film “Kratka”.
