Michał Jelonek is a Polish violinist, composer, arranger, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the leader of his own Jelonek project and as a musician associated with Hunter, Orkiestra Dni Naszych, and previously Ankh. His standing in Polish music comes not only from his solo work, but also from an exceptionally broad session career spanning rock, metal, pop, folk, classical music, and hard rock. According to a published interview, his music career has continued without interruption since 1989, while institutional sources confirm that in 1990 he completed formal violin studies and performed his graduation concerto with the Kielce Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. - He is the record-holder of the Złoty Bączek award, winning it four times, in 1995 and 1996 with Ankh, in 2004 with Hunter, and in 2010 as a solo artist.
- Back in 1993 he was already named the best Polish instrumentalist by “Tylko Rock,” which means his reputation was firmly established well before the Jelonek solo project took off.
- He has appeared on more than 100 albums by different artists, with credits stretching from classical music to pop, r’n’b, folk, rock, and metal.
