Piotr Wiwczarek is one of the key figures in Polish extreme metal, best known as the co founder, leader, guitarist and vocalist of Vader. His importance comes not only from the band’s name recognition, but also from the fact that he has remained its only continuous member since 1983. His path into music did not begin with guitar, but with violin studies at music school. He later studied biology in Olsztyn, yet the available sources indicate that he left that academic and professional route in order to commit fully to music.
