Tomasz Szczepanik
Tomasz Szczepanik is a Polish singer, composer, and lyricist whose name is almost inseparable from the band Pectus in the eyes of the wider public. From the beginning, he has served as the group’s leader, main songwriter, and most recognizable voice, which gave him a broader role than that of a standard frontman. The safest starting point for his career is 2005, when Pectus was founded in Rzeszów. The band quickly built momentum through competitions and live performances, winning the Grand Prix at Carpathia Festival in 2006, reaching the final of the Opole Debuts in 2007, and soon entering mainstream radio rotation with “To, co chciałbym Ci dać.” That period, completed by the band’s 2009 debut album, brought...

- He graduated from a woodworking technical school and later completed a master’s degree at the Institute of Music of the University of Rzeszów, combining craft training with formal music education.
- Every composition and lyric on the debut album “PECTUS” was written by him, which established him from the start not just as the singer, but as the main creative architect of the band’s repertoire.
- In 2011 he reshaped Pectus by inviting his three younger brothers into the lineup, turning the band into a fully family-based formation and giving the phrase “Siła Braci” a literal meaning.
- The song “Dla Ciebie” was written for his son Staś, making it one of the more personal and less commonly highlighted stories in the Pectus catalog.
