Gabriel Fleszar is a Polish singer, lyricist, and musician best known in the history of Polish popular music for the hit “Kroplą deszczu”. He was born on 27 September 1979, with Złotoryja being the most commonly cited birthplace, although some sources list Legnica, so that discrepancy is worth noting. His arrival on the market was fast and sharply defined. In 1999, he won a nationwide vocal competition, which led to a contract with Universal Music Polska, and soon afterward his debut album Niespokojny was released. His signature hit “Kroplą deszczu” became one of the most recognizable Polish songs of the late 1990s and still largely defines public memory of his early career.
His breakthrough came quickly after winning a national vocal competition whose prize was a contract with Universal Music Polska.
Although mainstream audiences mostly remember him as a romantic pop vocalist, he later moved into much heavier sonic territory as a member of the band Candida.
After his peak-chart years, he did not actually leave music, but shifted toward a more low-profile and less media-centered path, also working as a producer in his own studio.
