Włodzimierz Nahorny
Włodzimierz Nahorny is one of the central figures in the history of Polish jazz, an artist whose work spans piano, saxophone, flute, composition, and arranging. His stature comes not only from the length of his career but also from the unusual stylistic breadth of his output, ranging from modern and free jazz to songs, film music, and original jazz interpretations of classical repertoire. Born on 5 November 1941 in Radzyń Podlaski, he studied clarinet at the State Higher School of Music in Sopot.
