ZIP Skład
ZIP Skład, short for Ziomki i Przyjaciele Skład, is one of the most important formations in the history of Polish hip-hop and is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of street rap in Poland. The group was formed in Warsaw, with some sources pointing to 1997 and others to 1996, growing out of the scene built around the crews Fundacja and TPWC, Trzecie Pokolenie Warszawskiej Colendy. It was from that Warsaw background that a formation emerged which helped shape the direct, street-rooted, and locally grounded language of Polish rap.
