Pokahontaz

Pokahontaz is a Polish hip-hop project founded in Katowice in 2003 by Rahim, Fokus and DJ Bambus, directly after the breakup of Paktofonika. That starting point immediately gave the group unusual weight, because it was seen as a continuation of a story already deeply rooted in Polish rap history. The safest confirmed recording debut is 2005 with the album “Receptura”. Over time, that record came to be treated as part of the 21st-century Polish rap canon, with tracks such as “Wstrząs dla mas”, “Za szybcy się wściekli” and “Równowaga” repeatedly cited as key moments in the group’s catalog.
