Wzgórze Ya-Pa 3
Wzgórze Ya-Pa 3, often shortened to WYP3, is a hip-hop group from Kielce founded in 1993, widely regarded as a pioneering act for both Polish rap as a whole and the Kielce scene in particular. Artist Trivia
- The group originally had an extremely provocative name and only switched to Wzgórze Ya-Pa 3 before releasing its debut album.
- The spark that shaped the band in its proper form came after the future members saw Liroy videos on television that had been created for the PM Cool Lee project, and then approached him directly.
- The title of the album “Centrum” was not symbolic in an abstract way, it was taken from Agro Centrum, a garden supply market near where Borygo lived.
- The song “Język polski” caused a stir not only because of its anti-Liroy undertone, but also because Kaliber 44’s guest appearance revealed a newer, more accessible direction for that crew at the time.
