OFF Festival Katowice 2026
OFF Festival Katowice is one of the most important alternative music events in Poland and Europe, created in 2006 by Artur Rojek. Since 2010 the festival has been held in Dolina Trzech Stawów in Katowice and is known for its curated programme, often bringing artists to Poland for the first time. The 2026 edition will run from 7 to 9 August and will once again combine big alternative names with discoveries and debut performances.

About
OFF Festival launched in 2006 at the Słupna swimming area in Mysłowice, the hometown of Artur Rojek, as an event focused on alternative and independent music.
From the very beginning, the festival drew attention not so much through size as through its willingness to showcase artists outside the mainstream, which quickly became OFF’s defining feature.
In 2010 the festival moved to Katowice’s Dolina Trzech Stawów, where it developed into a full‑scale format with several stages, dozens of daily concerts and an intimate green space inside the city.
Over time OFF gained recognition beyond Poland: “Time” magazine listed it among the best music festivals in the world, while “The Guardian” and “Pitchfork” regularly mention it among the most important European alternative events.
The festival has also received a European Festival Award, confirming its status among the region’s most interesting events.
In the eBilet description, OFF Festival Katowice is called “one of the most original and exceptional music events in Europe”, a place where, since 2006, people come together driven by love for music and openness to the new.
The organizers emphasize that OFF is both a home for established icons (with past performances by Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Fontaines D.C. or Idles) and a space for new artists who are only just building their audience.
Each year the programme combines rock, jazz, electronic music, metal, ambitious hip‑hop and experimental sounds, all set in the intimate atmosphere of Dolina Trzech Stawów and deliberately distanced from the overblown, commercial festival model.
Event Character
OFF Festival is aimed at listeners who want more than a set of radio hits and stadium headliners. It is a meeting point for fans of broadly understood alternative music, from guitar‑driven indie and post‑punk through electronic and experimental sounds to jazz, avant‑garde and ambitious hip‑hop.
In the organizer’s materials OFF is described as one of the most original and unique music events in Europe, praised by foreign media and recognized in industry awards.
The curated nature of the programme attracts audiences focused on discovery rather than repetition of the obvious, which reinforces the festival’s image as a place for premieres, artistic risk and important “first time in Poland” shows.
History & Evolution
From 2006 to 2009 OFF Festival took place in Mysłowice, and since 2010 its permanent home has been Dolina Trzech Stawów in Katowice.
Over the years the festival has become one of the key alternative events in Poland while preserving an intimate feel and a strong curatorial identity.

Originally, OFF Festival was associated with Mysłowice, but since 2010 it has been held exclusively in Katowice.
