Anna Serafinska
Anna Serafińska is a Polish jazz vocalist, composer, educator and one of the most recognizable representatives of jazz singing to emerge from the Silesian music scene. Her position rests not only on performance work, but also on many years of teaching and on her presence in projects that connect jazz with other areas of Polish musical culture. She was born in Sosnowiec and comes from a musical family, she is the granddaughter of Carmen Moreno, an important figure in postwar Polish jazz. She studied at the Jazz and Popular Music Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice and later became professionally associated with the institution, developing both a stage career and an academic path at the same time....
