Maciej Kossowski

Maciej Kossowski was born in 1937 in Grudziądz and from an early age combined musical and humanistic interests. He studied trumpet, pursued Polish philology, and at the same time moved within the Tri-City jazz and cabaret scene. Early in his career he performed with Bim-Bom, Tralabomba Jazz Band, Flamingo, and Dixieland Septet. His biggest success in Poland came in the mid-1960s, when he became the lead singer of Czerwono-Czarni.
