Batalion d'Amour
Batalion d'Amour is a Polish band founded in 1989 in Skoczów, initially associated with gothic rock and dark wave but gradually expanding into rock-metal, progressive rock and broadly defined alternative rock. What set the group apart on the Polish scene was its refusal to treat gothic aesthetics as a fixed boundary, using them instead as a base for continued stylistic development. During its first major creative period, the band established itself through the albums “Labirynt Zdarzeń”, “Dotyk Iluzji”, “55 Minutes of Love” and “W Teatrze Snów”, released between the late 1990s and the early 2000s.
