Bogusław Mec
Bogusław Mec was born in 1947 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Although he received technical and artistic education, he ultimately secured a lasting place in the history of Polish popular music as a singer with a distinctive lyrical style. He made his stage debut in 1969 at the Łódź Song Exchange, immediately winning several important prizes. In the first years of his career, he was mainly connected with the Łódź club scene, where he developed his recognizable image and repertoire. Nationwide recognition came with the song “Jej portret”, for which he received the Ministry of Culture and Art award at the Opole festival in 1972. - He graduated from a mechanical technical school in Tomaszów Mazowiecki and later from the Clothing Design Faculty of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź.

- Between 1969 and 1972 he performed mainly in Łódź student clubs such as “77”, Klub Plastyków, and SPATiF.
