Gorillaz

Gorillaz are an English virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and comic artist Jamie Hewlett. The idea started as a commentary on shallow MTV era pop and the rise of boy bands, while giving Albarn a platform to explore genres that did not fit neatly into his work with Blur. Their self titled debut album, released in 2001, fused trip hop, hip hop, dub, alternative rock and electronica and became a global success with hits like "Clint Eastwood".
