Hemp Gru

Hemp Gru is a Polish rap group from Warsaw, founded in 1998 by Robert “Wilku” Darkowski and Maciej “Bilon” Bilka, later strongly associated with DJ Steez and hypeman Żary. The group’s origins are deeply tied to Warsaw’s street rap scene and the Mokotów environment, and the project grew out of a desire to create a formation rooted even more directly in the realities of housing-estate life, loyalty, brotherhood, and raw, unfiltered storytelling.
