Janusz Radek

Janusz Radek was born in 1968 in Starachowice and later became closely associated with Kraków. He studied history at the Jagiellonian University, but from the beginning his artistic path moved toward music, theatre, and poetic interpretation. He began with poetic singing and with composing music to texts by Bolesław Leśmian, Leopold Staff, and E.E. Cummings. In the 1990s he was also active in the Kraków cabaret “Zielone Szkiełko” and sang in rock and punk bands, showing the breadth of his musical background. From the late 1990s onward, he built a strong presence in musical theatre.
