Jerzy Połomski

Jerzy Połomski was born in 1933 in Radom as Jerzy Pająk. After finishing school, he moved to Warsaw, where he studied acting and quickly became connected both with theatre and the music stage. He made his acting debut in 1957 at Teatr Buffo and later also performed at Teatr Syrena. In the same year, he began making radio recordings, and already a year later he placed highly in Polish Radio’s popularity poll. His real breakthrough came in the 1960s, when he began recording regularly and achieving festival success.
