Marcin Wasilewski

Marcin Wasilewski is one of the most important Polish jazz pianists of his generation, as well as a composer and bandleader whose name is recognized well beyond Poland. He was born on 11 November 1975 in Sławno and was connected to music from childhood, beginning piano studies at the age of seven. Although he received a classical musical education, he turned toward jazz at an early age, and that ultimately shaped his professional path.
