Artist Trivia
- The debut album “Helicopters” was recorded in just four days, which says a lot about the raw, fast, and performance-driven nature of the band’s first era.
- In roughly its first two years, Porter Band played hundreds of concerts, so it was a heavily active live act rather than a studio-only project.
- The group appeared at the first National Review of Young Generation Music in Jarocin in June 1980, placing it early in the story of one of Poland’s most important rock environments.
- When Leszek Chalimoniuk left for the United States, Wojciech Morawski replaced him, marking one of the key lineup changes in the band’s initial phase.
