Young Igi, real name Igor Ośmiałowski, is a Polish rapper, vocalist and songwriter associated with trap and the so‑called new wave of Polish hip hop, born on 17 November 1999 in Gdynia. He began releasing tracks online around 2016, quickly attracting attention with his melodic, autotune heavy take on trap beats and personal, often introspective lyrics. Early material helped him build a loyal following and led to collaborations with leading scene figures such as Quebonafide, Szpaku, Peja, Kizo, Margaret and Malik Montana. In 2017 he made his official debut with the project „Trappist”, followed in 2018 by his first full length album „Konfetti”, which cemented his status as a key representative of Poland’s trap...

Universal / Def Jam describe Young Igi as „one of the most influential and successful young Polish artists of recent years”, which is a notably strong wording in official label communication.
In the Def Jam Poland catalogue „Skan myśli” and „Notatki z marginesu” stand alongside the joint album „amfisbena” as key pillars of his discography, each reaching at least gold certification.
In 2022 fans received both a collaborative album with Żabson and a full solo record from Young Igi within the same year, an unusually intense release schedule for a single rapper in the Polish scene.
The supergroup OIO, where Young Igi is responsible for many of the hooks and melodic parts, became one of the most talked about rap projects of 2021, with their album going triple platinum.
