Artist Trivia
- The band’s name stood out immediately on the Polish alternative scene and matched the playful, ironic tone that ran through both its music and image.
- Zabili Mi Żółwia played its first concert not in a club or festival setting, but at a primary school in its home village, which says a lot about the grassroots nature of the project.
- After only a dozen or so concerts, the lineup changed in 2000 when Szymon Taranowski was replaced by Kuba Wieczorek, who later became part of the band’s most recognizable formation.
- On its official website, the group stressed that friendship, rather than career logic, was always its foundation, which is why the musicians preferred to suspend activity rather than alter the band’s identity.
