Artist Trivia
- Żurkowski is described as a band of Polish musicians living abroad, and some sources specifically point to Doncaster as the place where the project was formed, which gives the group an unusual origin story within the Polish alternative scene.
- Even though the band members live and perform in the UK, they continue to write songs in Polish, something Łukasz Żurkowski explicitly highlighted around the release of “Kurz”.
- A major breakthrough came in 2019 when the song “Ciemność” won the Męskie Granie Young competition, which led to the band performing at the tour finale in Żywiec.
- In its earlier phase, the band also played local pub shows in the UK while building visibility on the Polish music circuit.
