Sunrise Festival 2026
Sunrise Festival is one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Central and Eastern Europe, built around the summer atmosphere of Kołobrzeg and a large multi-stage format. Since 2019 it has been held in Podczele on the former airport grounds, where the organizers can develop several large stages and full festival infrastructure. The 2026 edition runs from 31 July to 2 August and is once again expected to feature around 100 artists representing almost every major branch of electronic music.

About
The history of Sunrise Festival began in 2003, when house and trance first filled the Kołobrzeg amphitheatre, launching an event that would later become one of the biggest electronic music brands in this part of Europe.
For many years the festival developed in that amphitheatre setting, but its growing scale eventually led the organizers to move it to a much larger site.
Since 2019 Sunrise has been held in Podczele on the former airport grounds, which made it possible to significantly expand the area, improve infrastructure and build several large stages for nearly all major subgenres of electronic music.
The music profile has evolved as well. Between 2003 and 2012, house, trance, techno and electro were the dominant styles, while from 2013 onward the festival shifted more strongly toward big room and trance, while keeping a broad electronic identity.
Today the lineup covers a wide range of club culture, which is clearly visible in the 2026 announcements featuring names such as Cosmic Gate, Scooter, MORTEN b2b Malaa, James Hype, Reinier Zonneveld b2b Dikke Baap, Paul van Dyk b2b Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz b2b Matt Fax, Chocolate Puma, Catz ’n Dogz, GusGus, MRAK, HUGEL and Holy Priest.
Sunrise also stands out because it has grown far beyond a one-stage event. Organizer materials speak about around 100 artists from Poland and abroad and five massive stages, while the 2026 sales breakdown lists areas such as Red Stage, Yellow Stage, Blue Stage, White Stage, Black Stage and Green Stage, highlighting the scale of the current festival format.
Event Character
Sunrise Festival is aimed at fans of large-scale electronic events who want to combine club and festival sounds with a coastal summer atmosphere.
It is built around scale, energy and stage diversity, ranging from more mainstream house and big room sounds to techno, hardstyle and trance-focused projects.
In branding terms, Sunrise combines the status of a major EDM festival with the identity of a summer destination event closely tied to Kołobrzeg nightlife and a multi-day festival town format.
History & Evolution
Sunrise Festival was born in Kołobrzeg and remained tied to the city amphitheatre for many years before entering a new growth phase with the 2019 move to Podczele.
That shift gave the organizers more capacity and room for a more elaborate multi-stage festival format.
Cities & Locations
Throughout its history, the festival has remained connected with Kołobrzeg, but it changed venue from the amphitheatre to the former airport site in Podczele, Bagicz.
The current location lies about 8 kilometres from central Kołobrzeg and directly within the coastal Podczele area.
