Artist Trivia
- Breakout grew directly out of the earlier band Blackout, so it was not a fresh start from scratch but a deliberate artistic and image shift.
- The group is widely described as a pioneer of Polish blues rock, not only because of its hits but because it helped move Polish guitar music away from big beat toward a heavier and more author-driven sound.
- In 1968, the band toured the Benelux countries, which was a major sign of ambition and international reach for a Polish rock act of that era.
- The 1971 album “Blues” is broadly regarded as the band’s signature release and one of the landmark records in Polish rock and blues history.
