Waglewski Fisz Emade
Waglewski Fisz Emade is a family-based Polish project bringing together Wojciech Waglewski and his sons, Bartosz “Fisz” Waglewski and Piotr “Emade” Waglewski. From the outset, the trio stood out not simply because of the family connection, but because it merged three distinct musical languages, spanning rock, blues, jazz, alternative hip-hop, and electronics. The group’s importance is also rooted in the members’ wider careers. Wojciech Waglewski had already established himself as a major figure in Polish music and continued working with Voo Voo, while Fisz and Emade had built their own identity as a duo and, from 2001 onward, also developed the band Fisz Emade Tworzywo. The safest debut point for the project...
Artist Trivia
- The project’s first album, “Męska muzyka,” was released together with a book, which gave the trio a broader artistic framing from the very beginning.
- On that debut record, the core family lineup was supported only by Marcin Masecki and Bartek Łęczycki, helping shape the album’s sparse and focused sound.
- Fisz wrote six of the fifteen lyrics on “Męska muzyka” and sang those songs himself, so the record already worked as a genuine intergenerational exchange rather than a one-off family collaboration.
- After a multi-year gap, the project returned with “Matka, Syn, Bóg,” which was promoted as a comeback following the platinum success of “Męska Muzyka.”
