Brygada Kryzys

Brygada Kryzys is one of the defining bands of Polish new wave and post-punk, founded in Warsaw in July 1981 by Robert Brylewski, previously of Kryzys, and Tomasz Lipiński from Tilt. The founding lineup alone shows that the group emerged from the very center of Warsaw’s alternative scene, and from the start its sound aimed at something broader than a simple continuation of earlier punk rock. Its beginnings came at a deeply tense political moment in Poland.
