Coma

Coma is a Polish rock band formed in June 1998 in Łódź by guitarist Dominik Witczak and drummer Tomasz Stasiak; the name was initially a random choice that eventually stuck, reportedly decided by a coin toss. Vocalist Piotr Rogucki, guitarist Marcin Kobza/Kobez, bassist Rafał Matuszak and Wojciech Grenda soon joined, creating a line up that quickly became one of the most important new rock outfits in Poland at the turn of the century. The band’s music has been inspired by groups such as Illusion, Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, blending alternative rock, hard rock and progressive elements with highly emotional lyrics.
