Dopelord is a Polish stoner doom metal band that emerged from Lublin in late 2010 and is now also closely associated with Warsaw in its current band-facing channels. The group is best known for a heavy, psychedelic sound built on slow, massive riffs, memorable choruses and lyrics shaped by occult imagery, dark fantasy and cult-film aesthetics. Its recorded career began with “Magick Rites” in 2012, a debut that firmly placed the band within classic stoner doom while nodding to vintage heavy rock and proto-metal traditions. The follow-up, “Black Arts, Riff Worship & Weed Cult” from 2014, showed a clear jump in songwriting and helped expand the band’s touring footprint beyond Poland. Dopelord’s standing grew...

Dopelord came together from members of two earlier groups and committed to stoner doom before the style had fully taken root in Poland.
The 2014 album “Black Arts, Riff Worship & Weed Cult” marked a clear leap in songwriting and helped push the band toward more frequent touring outside Poland, especially in Western Europe.
“Children of the Haze” from 2017 is often treated as the record where Dopelord fully refined its long-form, psychedelic and crushing approach.
In 2019 the band toured with Saint Vitus, a notable milestone because it linked them directly with one of doom metal’s foundational acts.
