Dwa Sławy
Dwa Sławy is a hip-hop duo from Łódź formed by Astek and Rado Radosny in 2006, and from the beginning the project has been built on a very clear pairing of personalities, technical rap skill and densely written bars. Both artists entered the group with earlier backgrounds, Astek through UstinsTrumentaliX and Rado Radosny through Uśpione Miasto. The duo’s early phase was rooted in the unofficial mixtape circuit. Their first release, “Dla sławy,” arrived in 2007, followed by “Nieśmiertelna nawijka Dwusławowa” and “Muzyka kozacka,” and each of those projects helped them build a following among listeners drawn to sharp humor, flexible flow and a heavy use of cultural references. Artist Trivia
- The duo’s second mixtape, “Nieśmiertelna nawijka Dwusławowa,” used production closely tied to the sound of 20syl from Hocus Pocus, and Astek later admitted it to him directly in an interview.
- “Muzyka kozacka” sold out in a run of 500 copies, which available sources describe as the strongest result among the duo’s early unofficial releases.
- The first official studio album, “Nie wiem, nie orientuję się,” was entirely produced, mixed and mastered by Marek Dulewicz, giving the record a very coherent sonic identity.
- “Ludzie sztosy” reached No. 7 on the OLiS chart and earned a gold certification, marking one of the duo’s first clear commercial breakthroughs.
