Rasmentalism

Rasmentalism was formed by Ras, Arkadiusz Sitarz, and Ment XXL, Kamil Kraszewski, in Lublin in 2006. The duo brought together artists originally from Zamość and Hajnówka, who met in the city that became the starting point of the project. Their early years were rooted mainly in the Polish rap underground, where they built credibility through independently released material rather than mainstream exposure. The safest confirmed recording debut is “Dobra muzyka, ładne życie” from 2008, followed by other important releases such as “Duże Rzeczy” with W.E.N.Ą. and “Hotel Trzygwiazdkowy”.   • By the time Rasmentalism released their first official album, “Za młodzi na Heroda”, it was already the fourth release in the duo’s catalog.
  • Their early tape “Dobra muzyka, ładne życie” was named the best underground release of 2008 by Spinner Polska magazine.
  • “Duże Rzeczy”, recorded together with W.E.N.Ą., is often regarded as one of the classics of Polish rap underground.
