Kazik Staszewski
Kazik Staszewski, born Kazimierz Piotr Staszewski on 12 March 1963 in Warsaw, is one of the most important figures in the history of Polish alternative, rock and punk music. He is a singer, lyricist, composer, music producer, saxophonist and columnist whose career has long extended far beyond any single style or project. He is best known as the co-founder, leader and only постоянный member of the band Kult, which was founded in Warsaw in 1982. With Kult, he created a huge part of his legendary status, building a repertoire based on uncompromising lyrics, social observation and a distinctive fusion of rock, punk, new wave, ska and alternative music. - His solo debut “Spalam się” from 1991 is described as the first Polish hip-hop album.

- He is the son of poet and bard Stanisław Staszewski, whose writing strongly influenced his artistic language.
