Mr. Polska

Mr. Polska, born Dominik Włodzimierz Czajka-Groot, is a Dutch-Polish rapper, singer and songwriter born in Toruń and raised in the Netherlands. He is one of the clearest examples of a cross-border artist in this scene, moving between Polish and Dutch music circuits while continually reshaping his sound from rap toward club and rave-oriented forms. The safest point to mark as his musical debut is 2007, when he independently released the EP De Voorbereiding under the name Polski. Early attention came through the song “Kapoole Mashien,” after which he began making a stronger mark on the Dutch rap scene.
