Radek Łukasiewicz
Radek Łukasiewicz, born Radosław Łukasiewicz, is one of the most versatile creators in Polish alternative music. He is a musician, producer, composer, and lyricist whose body of work includes classic band music as well as theatre, film, and more experimental collaborative formats. His earliest confirmed musical debut dates to 1996, when he played in the Larvix project. However, the proper beginning of his broadly recognized career is best placed in 1999, when he co-founded Pustki with Janek Piętka. That band became the central foundation of his public profile. Artist Trivia
- Before founding Pustki, he had already played in the summer project Larvix and in the punk band Art Brut, so his beginnings were rougher and more guitar-driven than his later, subtler productions might suggest.
- He wrote most of Pustki’s lyrics, but his words were also sung by artists such as Artur Rojek, Brodka, and Piotr Zioła.
- He co-created the duo Bisz/Radex, which for many listeners became one of the most interesting bridges between ambitious rap and alternative songcraft.
- He is also active in the Polskie Znaki project, where he revives folk songs and traditional motifs in a modern form.
