Rahim, born Sebastian Salbert, is one of the absolutely key figures in Polish hip-hop. His story includes 3xKlan, Paktofonika, Pokahontaz, production work, label activity, and a substantial solo catalog. The safest musical debut date is 1997, because that was when 3xKlan’s album “Dom pełen drzwi” was released. Soon afterward he began working with Magik and Fokus, which led to the creation of Paktofonika and the album “Kinematografia,” one of the most important titles in Polish rap history. Before becoming the Rahim associated with Paktofonika and Pokahontaz, he was already active in 3xKlan, so his official recording history began before the most legendary phase of his career.
He co-created Paktofonika with Magik and Fokus, and the album “Kinematografia” won a Fryderyk and became one of the most important releases in Polish rap history.
After the Paktofonika era ended, he has been developing the Pokahontaz project with Fokus since 2003, and for over two decades it remained his main group affiliation.
At the same time, he built a strong solo career, releasing works including “Eksperyment: PSYCHO,” “Podróże po amplitudzie,” “Optymistycznie,” and “ARKanoid.”
